Aizdihar Traders Halal Guide · Australia

How we check products and ingredients

Every status on this site comes from something you can check yourself, and every entry shows the date we looked.

1. The label

We read the full ingredient list, either on the pack in-store or on the retailer's website, and run it against our ingredient checklist. We link to the listing we used.

2. The maker's own statement

If a brand publicly says a product is or isn't halal certified, or explains why it stopped certifying, we record that and link to the source.

3. The certifier's logo is the final word

Labels can't show processing or cross-contact. A current halal logo from a recognised certifier on the pack you're holding overrides anything on this site.

What our statuses mean

  • Halal certified The product carries, or its maker states it has, halal certification.
  • No certificate · no haram ingredients listed Nothing on the label needs a second look, but no certificate is shown.
  • Check the pack At least one source-dependent ingredient, or the check isn't finished.
  • Contains haram ingredient An ingredient that is usually haram is listed with no halal source stated.

What we don't do

We are not a halal certifier and we don't issue rulings. Where scholars differ, we say so and leave the choice to you. Brands we own are always disclosed.
